    Student Council (SC)

Do you know what's the authority of the Council?

The Student Council (SC) is one of the central participatory bodies of Wageningen University. Organisationally, the SC is at the same level as the University Board (i.e. Executive Board). It consists of 12 students that represent the interests of students. The SC voices the needs of all students to the Executive Board and advises on plans and policies of the university. The members of the Student Council are elected every year in spring, and dedicate a full-time year to the Council.

Make sure to use your voting right!

The Student Council elections are held every year in spring. In many ways, the Student Council’s work is not so different from the Dutch political system. In total 12 seats are available to be taken by different parties or independent members. Depending on the number of votes received during the elections, the seats are divided over the parties and appointed to independent members.
