Free Swimming Course at the Swimming Pool de Bongerd
Do you feel like you really want to join swimming activities and use your sports rights to go swimming in the swimming pool de Bongerd, but have you never learned how to swim?
Then sign yourself up for the swimming courses provided by Sports Centre de Bongerd and SWU Thymos, which were realized in collaboration with S&I.
This 8 weeks course can be followed on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. These should teach you the very basics of swimming. The course is free for those who already own sports rights, so if you don’t have those yet you can get them on the website of SCB or at the reception. With sports rights, you will be able to enjoy a whole year of swimming right after you followed the courses and other sports as well.
If the subscriptions are full you can send an email to swu.thymos@wur.nl. SWU Thymos will put you on the interest list and send you a notification when the next lessons will be available.
We hope you will enjoy the courses and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them to either S&I or SWU Thymos!
RSI/CANS Prevention
With the increasing amount of time of the computer works, S&I and the student council find to prevent yourself from RSI and CANS is very important.
Every Thursday afternoon from 5 pm to 5.30 pm (except school holidays) there is a free walk-in office hour for students with RSI / CANS complaints (complaints about arm, neck and shoulder). The consultation hour is intended to answer short questions regarding RSI / CANS complaints, exercises, work posture, etc.
Furthermore, the advice is given about what to do with these complaints (for example rest, sports/exercise, break software, etc.) and whether therapy and which therapy is indicated. You are also welcome if there are any questions about advice, exercises or tips you have already received.
Location: practice Exercise therapy Karin Vaessen, Kolkakkerweg 2 in Wageningen.
